Todos Santos Restaurant in Rancho Santa Margarita offers a refined take on Mexican dining that blends traditional flavors with a polished, upscale setting. Located on El Paseo, this spot feels like a neighborhood staple for those seeking elevated Mexican cuisine paired with thoughtful service and a vibrant bar scene.

The atmosphere here suits both casual dinners and more special occasions. With attentive yet unobtrusive staff, the space manages to strike a balance between welcoming and sophisticated — making it easy to settle in for a leisurely meal or catch a game day with friends. Locals often mention the lively vibe on Sundays when the restaurant becomes a hub for watching LA Chargers games, with the bartenders notably mixing drinks that bring people back.

Menu-wise, the focus is on classic Mexican dishes served with flair. Shareable starters like chips and fresh guacamole set the tone, while choices such as the short rib enchiladas and chicken mole come with well-executed traditional accompaniments like rice, beans, and house-made tortillas. The bar program gets its own spotlight, featuring inventive margaritas — including spicy and smoky varieties with roasted pineapple and jalapeño elements — as well as bottomless micheladas that keep things festive.

Those visiting midweek or for a late lunch will find a relaxed pace and gracious service, with a selection of well-curated wines adding to the experience. The crowd is a mix of locals celebrating casual nights out, families enjoying a flavorful meal, and diners who appreciate the polish of an upscale Mexican restaurant without the formality.

The food and service were excellent! The mole was absolutely amazing, though I wish they served a bit more of it. Thankfully, when I asked for extra, they were more than happy to accommodate. The drinks were also fantastic, rounding out a great experience. I’ll definitely be back!

I'm 86 and have visited many Mexican restaurants during years. This was my first visit. Try it once and you'll be back..... The fajitas were outstanding with a great presentation. The salsa was very tasty and perfectly spicy. The staff is attentive with friendly smiles. I will return. Service is a reflection of management and team work.

Lovely atmosphere and gracious wait staff. Top rated wines and great margaritas. My sister’s and I enjoyed a wonderful late lunch here on October 4th.

This is a nice upscale Mexican restaurant. They have a really good selection or margaritas. I got their Todos Santos spicy margarita with roasted pineapple, which had chunks of pineapple and jalapeños in it. I also got their Mezcalito that had a jalapeño agave mix. Both were very good and had a little kick to them which I liked. Now I know we were a large group but our appetizers came out before our drinks. For an appetizer we got ceviche. It looked amazing but it was served in a hollowed coconut. It didn’t say that on the menu and unfortunately my friend is allergic to coconut so we had to order another one without it. It had really good flavor and it was a bit spicy which again I love the spice. For my entree I got the pastor tacos. Usually when I order tacos they come made already but not theses they were served more like a fajita style it came in a skillet with the pastor and pineapples and the tortillas, salsa verde, & onion cilantro on the side. I had to make my own tacos and they didn’t give me a plate to do so. In my opinion there was way too much pineapple probably more pineapple than meat and the meat was dry. I wouldn’t recommend this for an entree maybe an appetizer but not really a good pastor taco. Overall it’s a very good place if it wasn’t for the slow service on drinks I would have had a third drink. The drinks are worth coming for and the atmosphere here is amazing with fireplaces and plenty of seating. Worth story if you’re in the area.

We go here to watch the LA Chargers every time we get a chance (especially on Sundays)! The food is great, Luis (bartender), makes great drinks and is very personable. He's a Charger fan so that keeps us coming back all the time. The rest of the staff there is nice too and I need to get their names. Their secret menu is cool and they've accommodated our special requests so we get custom nachos or other dishes. Don't forget to ask for different salsas to try out. Margaritas are great and that seems to be what everyone else orders when they stop by. Seating is comfortable and they have 4 TV's right above the bar. They open early on the weekends too, so a great place to get started on the drinks.

Visited this place over the weekend with a bunch of friends to celebrate a birthday. This place is right in the heart of RSM and has really nice Mexican food. We ordered a variety of dishes and drinks and all were pretty good. They do have chips and salsa as complementary appetizers and all of us got almost full eating them. For the given price, I felt the quantity of guacamole was less. The same goes with other dishes. They are on the pricey side. The ambience is really good with all natural plants around and lively music being played in the background. The staff is also very courteous and friendly. Overall we had a good experience and will surely visit again for some celebration.

They recently expanded their taco Tuesday menu and it’s got some great deals on amazing food. The taco trio ($10) and chicken flautas ($10) are 2 of our favorites. Some of the best tacos I’ve had in the area. And all the servers are always so welcoming and pleasant.
